Widehay Barn is nestled into the hillside of rural Devon, just beyond the boundary of Exmoor National Park. Once a simple field barn, it has been thoughtfully transformed into a welcoming holiday retreat, set within its own private plot of land. Now beautifully converted and fully equipped, it's the ideal spot whether you're planning to explore the great outdoors or simply unwind in comfort. Inside, you'll find three well-designed bedrooms and three bath/shower rooms, all arranged with care to offer a perfect balance of comfort and style. Large windows frame stunning views of the surrounding landscape, making it a place where you can truly relax and soak up the beauty of the countryside. The living room features a internet-enabled TV and a wood burner available for use from October to April, requiring only seasoned firewood or kindling. The open-plan kitchen and dining area is fully equipped for socialising and cooking, featuring essential appliances such as electric double oven and hob, American style fridge-freezer, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, air fryer, kettle, plus all the usual cookware, utensils, crockery, glassware and cutlery as you would expect. The dining area can comfortably seating for up to 6 guests. There is a travel cot, high chair and stair gate provided in the cottage (please bring your own bedding for the cot). A hair dryer, iron and ironing board are provided for your convenience. Electricity and heating costs are included in the price of your accommodation. The cottage has oil-fired central heating which can be adjusted to suit your preferences and the seasons. A basket of logs and kindling will be provided for the wood-burner in the cooler months. Bed linen, duvets, blankets and towels are provided for your convenience, but please bring your own beach towels if you wish to take towels with you on day trips. There may be non-perishable items like a salt, pepper and a few herbs or spices available. Cleaning materials such as washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets/powder, and surface cleaner will be present in the property. Two toilet rolls will be provided per toilet along with hand wash.

Widehay Barn is surrounded by an acre of private, enclosed lawn garden and a paddock, all available for guests' sole use. There is a bistro table and chairs at the front of the property, and further comfortable seating in the rear gardens. The nearest town is South Molton, only 4.5 miles away, it's a unique market town where you can explore a range of shops and visit the award winning market held twice weekly which showcases regionally produced food and goods.

There are also opportunities to ride, to play golf at the famous Saunton Sands Golf Course or to visit a number of outstanding gardens such as those at Marwood and RHS Rosemoor. It is also the place for anyone who... just wants to relax and enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the North Devon countryside. The surrounding area is within easy reach of Tarr Steps, The Chains – a wonderful place for the experienced walker – as well as the Tarka Trail, the North Devon coastal path, Woody Bay, the Valley of the Rocks, and the twin villages of Lynton and Lynmouth. The beaches at Saunton and Croyde are also not far away. South Molton, the nearest town, is 4 miles away and has a local market on Thursday and a farmers market on Saturday.
